Exclusive interview with Sander Van Doorn!!!
Dutch superstar DJ and producer Sander Van Doorn hooked up with us and did exclusive interview for Electro Station and readers. He is preparing big since he released his new bomb tune “Daisy”. Today, we talk with Sander about WMC, music, tracks and his future collaboration. Enjoy in this interview and support his new single “Daisy” :)
1. Hi Sander! Can you introduce yourself in a few lines?
Hi, I’m Sander van Doorn. I’m a DJ & Producer from Einhoven, Holland and I’m lucky enough to be able to travel the globe playing my music to everyone.
2. Since when are you in music and how did it all began?
I used to go to Tunnel Raves in Holland. They were illegal parties that people put on in a random place. I fell in love with the music and began finding out how to make it.
3. If you had to pick one genre or style of music, what would it be?
Well I should say Trance but I do mix my styles up a lot when Djing and producing so maybe saying ‘Dance Music’ would be better.
4. It’s well known that DJs like to nurture new talents. Is there any young producer/DJ who will make an impact on scene in 2010?
Umet Ozcan is really doing it for me at the moment. My tip for 2010 is Jerome IsmaAe. I’d also keep your eye on Simon Patterson. He’s been around for a while and has lots of hits but I think he’s going to take it to the next level over this year or next.
5. Can you pick one specific club or venue where you love to play and feel the best?
I have a residency at the Gallery at Ministry of Sound in London. I do my own night there called Dusk Till Doorn every so often as well so I really feel at home there.
6. Do you have any hobbies outside of DJing?
I don’t do much outside of music as I don’t have time! I’m either DJing, traveling to the gigs or working in my studio.
7. What are your plans for this year? Any upcoming releases?
Well I’ve got one more single coming out called ‘Daisy’ which is doing really well on the dance floors. I have also done the Trance Energy theme for this year called ‘Renegade’. I’m working on my album but that is still in its early stages.
8. WMC is coming up. How do you feel about it? Any WMC bomb for you?
WMC is a big date in the dance industry’s calendar so its always exciting. I do have something great planned but it’s not confirmed yet so I can’t release the details.

10. What’s your setup (at home or in studio)?
I use logic on a Mac with a mixture of Soft synths and hardware.
11. You’ve collaborated with one of the biggest MTV UK stars – Robbie Williams. Is there any other pop or MTV-based artists that you would like to collaborate in future?
I’d love to work with Chris Martin from Coldplay. I think his voice would suit my productions in the same way Robbie’s did with Close My Eyes.
